Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026

This policy explains how personal information is handled when you use yarnbooth.com. It describes the features currently available on this website.

Who is responsible for your information?

George Ngissah trading as YarnBooth, Cape Coast, Central Region, Ghana, operates this website and is responsible for its use of personal information. For a privacy question or request, email hello@yarnbooth.com.

The free market planner

You do not need an account or an email address to use the planner. Product names, quantities, making times and dates are calculated in your browser. The planner does not send these entries to YarnBooth’s server.

If you choose Save on this device, the plan is stored in your browser’s local storage under yarnbooth-plan-v1. It stays there until you delete the saved plan, clear the site’s browser data or your browser removes it. Anyone who can access that browser profile may be able to load it. Use the planner’s delete-saved-plan option or clear site data to remove it. CSV exports are files on your device and are under your control.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, your message and any attachments. We use this information to answer you, investigate problems and keep a record of the conversation. Sending a question does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

Please share only what is needed to handle your request. Do not send sensitive personal information, passwords or your customers’ details. We will ask before publishing a private message or attributing a reader’s experience publicly.

Website operation, logs and cookies

Our hosting and security services process technical information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps, browser information and error details to deliver pages, protect the site and diagnose faults. Hostinger provides the hosting and content delivery services. WordPress and security features may use cookies for administrator sign-in or other necessary functions.

We have not installed Google Analytics, advertising pixels or behavioural advertising on this site. Google Search Console supplies search-performance and indexing reports; connecting it does not install a visitor tracking script. The planner’s optional local storage is described above.

Email updates

If you choose to subscribe, we collect your email address and a record of your request and confirmation. We use MailerLite to manage the newsletter, send a confirmation email, deliver market-planning emails and handle unsubscribes. Your subscription starts after you confirm by email. We send a welcome email and aim to send one practical market note each month.

MailerLite processes technical signup and delivery information, such as IP addresses, timestamps, delivery failures and subscription status, to provide the service and help prevent abuse. We have disabled email-open tracking. MailerLite still records clicks on newsletter links so we can understand which resources readers use. The signup page loads form resources from MailerLite. Read MailerLite’s Privacy Policy for more about its processing.

We use your consent for newsletter emails. You can unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email or contact hello@yarnbooth.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. We retain your newsletter record while you subscribe, and may keep limited consent and suppression information afterwards to document your choices and avoid sending unwanted messages. Your details are not added to another website’s newsletter.

The free planner does not require a subscription.

Why we use information

Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, maintaining a useful and secure website and addressing misuse. We consider the effects on your privacy and limit information to what is needed. Where processing is necessary to meet a legal obligation, we rely on that obligation. Newsletter emails rely on your consent, which you can withdraw.

Service providers and international processing

Information may be handled by providers that support website hosting, security and business email, including Hostinger, Titan and MailerLite. They receive the information needed to provide their services. Email sent to us is also handled by the email providers involved in delivery. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect the website and address abuse.

YarnBooth is operated from Ghana and the website is hosted in the United States. Service providers may process information in other countries. Applicable protections can differ from those in your country. Where a restricted international transfer is subject to specific legal requirements, those requirements and appropriate safeguards must be addressed. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your request.

We do not sell or rent personal information, or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

How long information is kept

We keep correspondence while an enquiry is active and for as long as reasonably needed to follow up, document a correction or resolve a dispute. We review older correspondence and delete information that is no longer needed, unless a legal obligation requires retention. Hosting logs and backups follow the provider’s retention and deletion processes; some copies may remain in protected backups until they expire. Saved planner data remains on your device as described above.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information, request a portable copy, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or withdraw consent. Contact hello@yarnbooth.com with your request. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity and will respond within the applicable legal timeframe. Some requests are subject to legal exceptions.

You can also complain to the relevant data protection authority, such as Ghana’s Data Protection Commission, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. US privacy rights may vary by state and whether a law applies to this business.

Children, links and policy changes

YarnBooth is intended for adult makers and is not designed to collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Other websites linked from our guides have their own privacy practices. This policy does not cover those websites. We will update this page when our practices change and provide an additional notice where a material change requires it.
